What is spaying and neutering surgery?

Spaying and neutering surgery is the removal of your pet’s reproductive organs through a small incision. The female’s uterus and ovaries are removed during spaying, while the male’s testicles are removed during neuter surgery. When should I spay/neuter my pet?

Usually, cats can get the procedure done from 3 to 6-months-old while dogs get the procedure done at 6-months-old. From there, the procedure can be performed safely at any time in their adult life.
