When should I consider euthanasia?

Though the painful decision is only ever yours to make, our team will be with you every step of the way to help guide you through the process. If and when the time comes, some factors you may consider when making this difficult decision are:

  • Your pet’s unique health situation
  • If they have been diagnosed with a terminal disease
  • If all treatments have been unsuccessful in alleviating their chronic pain
  • If their quality of life is being affected

How is euthanasia performed?

Euthanasia is the painless procedure where we put your pet to sleep. This allows them to cross the rainbow bridge peacefully and relieves them of any suffering or pain they may have been experiencing. Before the procedure, our team will walk you through the process and make sure both you and your pet are calm and comfortable. We will also give you space and time to say your goodbyes. During the procedure, a high dose of anesthetic is administered which causes their heart and other organs to stop working. After the procedure, you and your family are welcome to take as much time as you need with your beloved pet.
